Comfort food.
Headed for sea and sand - and the Pittenweem arts festival. However parking was a nightmare so we went on to St Monans. Then took a brisk walk along the coastal path back to the scene of all the action only to be met with a torrential downpour which resulted in a lot of shrieking.
Thoroughly drenched we regrouped on the return with a bagel at the East Pier smoke house before picking up a box smoked mackerel and langoustines for tea. A quick trip to the Anster cheese farm and we were sorted. Even got a blip out of it all too.
PS for anyone in the area - it was the most incredible mackerel I have ever tasted. Firm, but not leathery and meltingly soft in the mouth too. Well worth a trip just to get some.
