Preperation

Clara has been undergoing a lot of work recently, largely in preparation for this year's Riley Register Coventry Rally, which commences this Friday and finishes on Sunday. The work done so far includes rebuilt suspension all round, restored half-shafts, new oil seals, new wheel bearings, carburetor tweaking (it now has serious intake growl) and latterly new brake pads all around.

Here, I am holding a scorched pad that has come off the car, leaving me glad we have fitted new brakes. As we will be travelling at consistent speeds of 70mph, this car will need to stop well!
