Up on the Downs: Sunshine after Rain

Blue skies and summer clouds up on the Downs above Pyecombe this morning, although the rain of the past few days is still evident in the puddles in the track as I take a stroll once again from the 'Jack & Jill' car park to pay another visit the Chattri.

The field on the right is growing a crop of Flax (Linum usitatissimum), which is just coming into flower. The almost surreal 'big sky' in today's 'Extra' was taken on the walk back via the west side of Lower Standean.
