Close but .....
..no cigar. Kilda wouldn’t settle last night. Took till 12.30 to get her to stay in her crate. As a result knackered when I got up and the bike ride didn’t happen. Drizzle all morning so the ride in wouldn’t have been great anyway. J worked from home as we were getting a new chair delivered. Seems they turned up and decided not to take J’s advice and go through the back but brought it through the front door. They then couldn’t get it through the kitchen door without taking it off, which they weren’t allowed to do as it had an automatic closer on it so they deemed it a fire door and they aren’t allowed to remove fire doors. They then took it back upstairs and couldn’t get it out the front door without taking it off its hinges. They then took it around the back and into the house with no problems. MB arrived with little JB and Rjukan. Kilda and Rjukan had great time playing the garden. CB arrived after work, this week is her first week back after mat leave. Nice BBQ and catch up. Heard on the news yesterday that the new Forth Road Bridge won’t be ready for the end of the year. It will open around May next year instead. While we were away they managed to get the last bit of bridge in place to link the north bound side. Looking at it when I crossed over it seems some of the calculations are out as they don’t meet. Is this the real reason why it’s going to be late. Scottish Engineering? Couldn’t resist stopping on the way back to take a photo.
