'We are what we do.'

By Hasywell

A change of scenery...

is food for the soul!

I am staying in a gorgeous little cottage in the Forest of Dean for a week. A chance to get away from everything and reflect on the past year whilst reenergising for the new academic year. I was able to book the same cottage as last year donut almost feels like coming home. When I get my campervan this area will definitely be frequented often!

Three beautiful things:

The view as you drive over the bridge into Wales.

The welcome pack of:
Freshly laid eggs
A home baked Victoria Sponge all for me
A bottle of wine chilling in the fridge
A bottle of milk
2 jumbo bone biscuits for Jem and Millie.
( this place is a real find!)

Getting lost in the forest already ;-)

One thing to be grateful for:
The sounder of Wild Boar foraging in the undergrowth went off in the opposite direction when we approached! They are not something Jem and Millie have encountered before so need to be extra vigilant. It was great to hear their snorting although slightly spooky watching the undergrowth move and shake!
