New toy!
Popped over to Uncle A's to see his new toy - an iPhone 5SE. He bought a Nokia smartphone a couple of years ago, but hardly used it - best to stick with a familiar OS - everything else he has is Apple. He's trying out the camera with Archie, the willing model.
From there we got the bus in to Lothian Road. The man opposite me took a shine to Archie and asked if he liked the bus. 'Oh, yes - he loves buses, though he gets sick in a car.' Five minutes later, what was he doing?
Quietly being SICK!
Fortunately the man had already gone - that would have been embarrassing. I do hope this is not a new turn of events - he's never been sick on a bus before...
I had my old shoe (one half of my most comfortable pair) which needs stitching, and hoped Timson's would be able to sew it. Nope. He said I needed a tailor. A tailor?? Took the bus to a tailor Bruntsfield, but no, I need to go to a leather worker/bag repairer. Of course.
Back home over the Links. No dogs, but Archie did move a couple of plastic domes that had been set out for the school fun run in the afternoon.
As we walked home, I heard, then saw a wee black dog away down the road. The dogs spotted each other as we got nearer - it was a schnauzer - so they came over to meet us. Lots of happy schnauzery yapping when they met, so Archie and I went back to the Links with them and the dogs had a great run around and play. What a wee livewire Truffles is! She's tiny, but fully grown. Hope we can meet up again, as it's a fun way to exercise them.
Home, puggled out. Women's tennis at Eastbourne on TV. Magnum to share with his nibs (don't worry, he only gets the tiniest bit at the end).
Well done Wales!
