Hive of activity

Mr A has been getting rid of more grass gardening again; this time in the upper part of the garden.

During the renovation, he's found that we have a little beehive, living in the dry stone wall he built a couple of years ago. This made us both happy as we love bees, so are pleased they have settled in our garden.

The entrance to the hive is just through the little gap you can see in the stones. If you look closely, you can also see a bee guarding the entrance.

I've put out a little 'bee bath' which is something Mr A saw on the Internet. It's just a terracotta dish, with a few stones for the bees to rest on, and a little sugary water.
We've put this near the hive so they can use it as they're coming and going.
