58 years ago in 1958 (7): Yellowstone

Compared to the last blip of this mini-series (5 days ago), my dad and grandparents have moved some 1’700 km westwards. The next highlight after leaving Sheridan (Wyoming) was the Yellowstone National Park. Already a few miles into the park they had their first bear encounter and I had to add this historic backblip from 16th June 1958.

The further route then was: Grand Teton National Park – Salt Lake City – Wendover – Reno – Lake Tahoe – Mono Lake.
