King's College, Cambridge

A rarely photographed view, facing north, as the chapel and front entrance are the most popular with the tourists. This is looking across the Great Lawn to the library. King's college is regarded as one of the greatest examples of Gothic English architecture. The young King Henry VI laid the foundation stone on Passion Sunday1441, but didn't see the completion of the chapel as he was murdered at the Tower of London in 1471. Sunshine and showers today and now it is a lovely evening.
