Reach For The Sky

This is summer? Despite the pouring rain this morning, I walked to Havant train station and took a train to Chichester. With practically no furniture in the house, there was no way I was going to spend the day indoors.

I took a bus from Chichester to the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum. Tangmere airfield is where Sir Douglas Bader served as Wing Commander during World War Two. The museum featured many fascinating artefacts about Sir Douglas Bader, as well as a large collection of military aircraft, the opportunity to fly in a Lightning simulator and to experience an air raid in a real air raid shelter.

Definitely worth a visit.
