Roman Holiday

This morning we had a drive along the coast and called in for a quick visit to an ex-colleague who lives in Felpham. We then went to visit the Roman Villa at Bignor, followed by the original purpose of our visit here, a trip to the Roman Palace at Fishbourne. Fascinating to see the mosaics that have been uncovered and an interesting guided tour from the resident archaeologist. Finally, we had a drive down to Bosham for a quick look round; people who ignore the sign on the road do so at their peril as can be seen in the link I've added below (copied from my iPad so if the link doesn't work search for 'Bosham Carwash' on Youtube).

We had some plans for visits on our way back tomorrow but judging by the rain forecast, we might have to rethink.
