A helicopter at a campsite?
We were admiring the view over the Carse of Stirling, having visited Flanders Moss (btw the largest raised peat bog in the UK), and noticed this helicopter - a Sea King - at a wigwam campsite at Thornhill. Perplexed about why it was there, I googled it to discover several news stories saying that the campsite owner bought it from the MoD in April with the intention of turning it into holiday accommodation for a family of 5, including a toilet and shower and dining area in the cockpit. Certainly a novel use for an old bit of technology. The extra shows the entire helicopter sitting behind a hedge. I probably should have titled the photo 'rivets'. Looks a bit flimsy, if you ask me.
