Pigeon in a plum tree

Patridges are a bit rare in south-east London, though we do have a pear tree... the pigeon in the plum tree will have to do.

I've had such a great day. I put up the tree, much to the bemusement of the cat as I shoved his cushion out of the way then placed a spiky, tinsel-clad, multi-lit plastic plant in its place. Not amused!

F and I then went into London, taking the train to Victoria and walking to Covent Garden. [Now for lots of links because there were many potential blips today.]
Firstly, the very fine Christmas door that we passed near Westminster. Just outside Parliament a climate change protest had gathered, and we listened to their speeches as I tried to capture the fantastic light on Westminster Abbey and the clock tower. We explored the new layout of St Martin's Crypt and scoffed apple crumble and custard (always the best in London) and mulled wine before a good browse in Stamford's and a walk through Covent Garden. The lights there are fantastic - they move like snow falling and change colour. Our walk to London Bridge took us past the sand sculptures on the South Bank.
