renal review

year 2 starts tomorrow. i am a little worried about the intensity that awaits since i am not feeling mentally or physically ready for the challenges ahead. but here we go again and i'll just do what i can...we are being with renal pathology. so today i reviewed my notes from last year just to get my mind ready.

oh. so the official diagnosis of "fever of unknown origin" has been narrowed down to west nile fever or valley fever. since the treatment is just supportive, because my symptoms are on the mild side (even though i am miserable) and the titer to test for either of those antibodies is expensive and the student insurance doesn't cover it. i am leaning towards valley fever since i was in Arizona at the end of May and it fits the time-course better than west nile fever....

either way. school is starting.
