Around the garden on a Sunday afternoon
Well, not exactly "a day of rest" , but productive and enjoyable nonetheless.
I started on the leaf blower at 10am;Dr D on the mower. An hour and a half later I was a bit "done' so came in for shower and lunch . After lunch, I took over the mower and finished the lawn and "leaf vacuuming " (with mower)whilst Dr D chainsawed, stacked and covered firewood. The leaves were vigorously falling as soon as we turned our backs but still a pleasant view of the garden from the lounge where the cercis canadensis glow with the last of their leaves on the branch tips. The pumpkins and cones brighten the deck and the white tree dahlias stand about 15 feet tall blooming for all they're worth in one of the borders. That's enough for one day...I'm off to the stitching cave.
