Village gala day

Lucky with the weather today after all the rain we have had, including last night.   The day was dull and cloudy, but dry - hooray!  
This is the New Orleans Jazz Band which leads the gala parade through the village each year - all of a "certain age" so not sure how much longer they will go on!  No floats this year and not many walking tableaux either, but we did have the Players inside the pantomime dragon.  Had to laugh when they lifted the sides to let some air in to cool off!  
Nice afternoon, followed by "Spritz o'clock" at daughter L's house, then off for a curry in our local town to round off the day.  We even walked home to walk off the curry!
