St Alban

Visited a friend in St Alban's today and visit happened to coincide with the annual Alban Pilgrimage.  A very colouful procession from St Peter's Church.  It is a two day affair and ends with his head being chopped off (pleased didn't see that as apparently his eyes pop out!)  He lived over 1700 years ago and was executed on 22nd June and became the first person in Britain to give his life for the Christian faith.
Also had the chance to walk round the cathedral which was absolutely stunning.
Liver, bacon and onion pub lunch.  Still full up and chilling out before an early night as it appears we walked more than 12000 steps!

Extra shows one of the many sets of Morris Dancers who were performing along the route.
