Bike race around the center of the City

This is the elite men's race which was easily won by Rory Townsend - I' was told to look out for him in the Tour de France in a couple of year's time.  I rather liked the juxtaposition of the furious riding and  the SLOW sign.

The building behind the riders is Brunel's old hotel, catering for passengers arriving in Bristol by train from Paddington awaiting the tides for the sailing of the Great Western to America.  At the moment it is Council Offices but destined to be developed into student accommodation. The extra has the Cathedral and Central Library in the background.
