Summer's Arrived
... and how! Spent much of today gardening and enjoying the flowers that have come out while we've been away. Here's a selection. I'm especially pleased to see the ceanothus covered in blooms - it was new last autumn. The big blue geraniums don't appear here, but they're as beautiful as the smaller pink ones that do. The self-set campanula has spread ridiculously, but the bees love it. Finally, I cut one of the Charlotte roses to enjoy indoors.
Thanks for all the kind comments, stars and hearts for my yesterblip. You'll be pleased to hear the chessboard has dried out nicely now, but the pawns are still dancing, and jumping off the bridge, while the bishops seem very reluctant to leave their boat. Given the forecast for more rain, they're probably wise.
