All the bells

Finally the Olympics are here and I am so excited.
Following our bell ringing shennanigans earlier in the year, we could not fail to join in with "All the Bells" , the national art activity to mark the start of the Olympics at 08.12.
We joined Sonning Handbell ringers and some other folk at the bridge at Sonning and rang furiously, to the amusement of the car drivers waiting to cross the bridge. The bells of St Andrew's were ringing, a sound I love; a delightful sound to start a very special day.
Our nephews from the USA came to stay and we enjoyed a rare family gathering with a BBQ and an evening glued to the magical, uplifting, extraordinary Opening Ceremony.
