endives aux jambon

This is a recipe Pierre's mum taught me. 

Take a few chicory heads, cut them in half, char them in the pan and then wrap each half in a slice of smoked ham. Lay them in an oven-proof dish, cover with bechamel, and then sprinkle some grated cheese on top.  Bake for 30 mins, or until the cheese is bubbling on top. Tasty!
