back in marseille

Annie and I went into town this morning and we visited a few shops along Le Canabiere, including Saladin - this place is amazing. Spices, sweets, cheeses, dried fruit, coffee, and loads more.  Bought some great products and then continued our wander on along towards the Vieux Port. Annie then took me to L'Alcazar, the library where she borrows her books. What a place! Massive, beautifully-laid out, modern touches, well lit. It used to be a theatre where Pierre's grandparents would have gone to see the stars of their day. 

Pierre and I then went to Les Terrasses du Port in the afternoon - it's a new shopping centre by the sea.  Pierre was overwhelmed by how new and modern it is and he was proud that Marseille is being invested in.
