Caro Emerald

A wonderful Friday evening...apart from the traffic!

Went to see the magnificent Caro Emerald performing at Hampton Court Palace.
The evening didn't start perfectly.
For us, getting to Hampton Court means either driving right through Central London, or going round the M25 then cutting in.
We chose the later, and the 60 mile journey took 2 hours 20 minutes and was done in torrential rain the whole journey.
Fortunately we left in plenty of time so were still there about 7pm, in time for a nice picnic and glass of champagne on the lawns of the Palace (oh the rain stopped just as we arrived, and stayed off for the evening) before heading in to the courtyard of the Palace for 9pm and the concert start.
Caro was, of course, excellent.
