The Grand Hall

The final treat in Karen's birthday celebrations - a night at Mar Hall.

A beautiful hotel, with a great view and a feeling that you are in the middle of nowhere despite being 15 minutes from Glasgow.

We made the most of it, a lovely meal, swim and sauna, we even took a class in the gym! Enjoyed chatting with all the friendly staff too - they filled us in on all the famous people who have stayed there. Although spilled no secrets.

And late at night, sitting in the bar with a single malt nightcap, it was all pretty perfect.
