A little gem!

I walked down to the chemist this morning, camera at the ready just in case.  This beautiful blue iris was growing just beside the gate of one of the local houses.  There were plenty of roses too but they will continue to bloom much longer than the irises.

A visit to the chiropodist this afternoon .... feel like I'm walking on air now!
Then some gardening .... trying to remove an old pieris but I think I will probably need some help to get the roots out.  I'm fine with the digging but I have very little strength in my hands for pulling.  I can't even open a bleach bottle and there will come a time when I won't be able to squeeze the handle on the petrol pump .... don't know what I'll do then!
