The wind blew...
Lovely little church at Uthlid (just near our cabin) built in 2006 by the farmer next door. Apparently there has been a church on this spot since Iceland became Christian in 1000AD. The last one blew down one night in 1935. For the 71 years after that they met in the farm house. The bells (with some white wagtails in residence) date from 1642. You can see the surprising exterior at www.uthlid.is. Very Lutheran - with a lovely green chasuble in the vestry, ready for the off!
