Flower Friday on the vine
nearly as large as a salad plate this clematis bloom at the bottom of the mine and must get all the 'juice' first. The whole vine is scampering right over the top of a metal arbor with more promising blossoms. It sets at the stairway to the deck and front door.
Part of what I love about living here in the summer and this late springtime.
We are nearly at the solstice next week... already I have said farewell to the masses of forget-me-nots, iris... some Siberians are hanging on.
The last spring frosts have determined life now... including NO Apples in the entire NY State!
