Olympiad

I have to say I'm a bit sad I've not done an Olympic themed blip. After such a spectacular opening ceremony I feel like I'm letting our side down (though you may consider this Ash in training for his future sporting events, even if the closest those future events get to sport is video gaming). I have to say I was one of the naysayers that thought the opening ceremony was going to be a bit rubbish, judging almost completely by the spectacle that was the queen's jubilee concert. I thought there would be a few aging stars with dancers in the background or something so was completely unprepared for the massive amount of ingenuity, energy, and the sheer number of people- it was surprisingly spectacular! It would have been amazing to be there to see it live and I don't normally say that, being a big fan of the comfort of my couch!

Ash seems to be getting so close to crawling, he's definitely not staying put any more. He is a boy on a mission! We went to Pennington Flash today. Some swans tried to scare us off but I showed them who the bigger bird was.:-/ I saw something I've never seen before. There was a huge concentration of minnows and large groups of them were jumping out of the water at the same time. I have no idea why. All in all a great day!
