Hoiho...Yellow Eyed Penguin

I was so lucky this morning to meet this beauty. It is in the care of our local penguin rehabilitators...It was starving when found, but is now nearly ready for release, as you can see by the extra image...It is looking quite rotund. This penguin is a native of NZ and is nationally vulnerable.
