Beans

The crop in the field outside the back gate this year is beans.I'm not sure what sort of beans - I think they are grown for cattle food. they look like broad beans when they are in flower but have only small pods and they don't harvest them until they are really dry and dead looking. They are very tall this year - over 4ft. A better idea of the height would have been to open the gate and take the view along the path - but if the dogs escaped and ran in there it would be like a jungle, they would have great fun and I wouldn't be able to see where they were at all !
