Raindrops

The weather was so appalling today that I was not able to do any photography until early evening. Having taken a few shots of one of our neighbours flowering shrubs I then gravitated to looking for raindrops on leaves and discovered that the ones with the best globular raindrops were those which appeared to have a very matt surface which appears to repel any absorption of the rain. This water droplet was massive in this tiny leaf but only so because of the shape of the leaf and it's almost horizontal position which meant it would capture the full force of the rain
