The Lighted Life

Altered Horizons

This day was not as I planned but it was delightful none the less. My plan was to leave the office early and to head to the cabin so that I could prepare an elaborate dinner for Bonnie and the girls when they arrived from Boston.

I did escape from the office at 4 pm, swept the dogs from the house and pointed my car north. The top was open on the auto and the dogs' ears were flapping in the wind. The sun was brilliant and the combination of the sun and the air were pure bliss.

But, as often is the case, the most highly of anticipated plans in life seem to change all too frequently. Bonnie's flight was eventually cancelled and she would stay east for the night. Sad news but not the end of life as we know it. For details, please see my daughter's blip of her sister's priceless expression.

I continued my travel north and my "GO TO" Zucchero song suddenly permeated the air. It is an incredible "alone" song and worthy of a listen.

A sunset boat ride with more flapping dog's ears followed and ¼ of the planned dinner was prepared. And, following that the epic show from London. Wow, i love these games.

Today was good. Tomorrow will be better.

My energy is quite low and I am struggling with my blip mojo but I pass this barn each week on my route to the cabin. It is a delightful shelter and one worthy of attention. It is surrounded by brilliant pasture in the summer and folded waves of snow when winter calls. Today, the mustard grasses were overly baking in the mid-day summer sun. I would like to return sometime when there is long and soft light.

Not sure why when I click LARGE it goes to an image in my blipfolio. Sorry for that. I will ask blip central.
