Young Buck

I saw a young Black Tail Deer wandering in the garden and went back in to get my camera. I thought it might be the mother and her two spotted fawns. But no. Instead it was one of the young bucks in velvet. We took some time to stare at each other, me snapping away. He was a bit more shy than the mother and her babies. Be we had a good communion before he ambled off into the shadows. I wonder if he is a brother of the two fawns, last year's fawn himself.
