Shot silk

A funny old day, but this damselfly brought a bit of joy.  Because the rain was starting up again, it didn’t want to disappear too fast, so I got a proper moment to blip it.  I love the texture and colours on the panels of its thorax, which remind me of shot silk.
 
Apart from that it’s been a day of cleaning the house, getting stuff together to go to Guys tomorrow and generally wrestling with life.  Hopefully, though, I’ll be able to bring back a Thames blip.  I’d enjoy that – but would you ;)
