Some time ago I cut off a few pieces of a poplar tree and put them in water to see if they would produce roots, which they now have done. I decided to put them in soil for a while until I'll plant them in the ugly field across the road. I put down one two years ago directly into the ground without any extra soil and it's only now starting to grow properly. I want to see if these will start growing faster.
