I'm experimenting with using jpeg instead of RAW and so far the results have been mixed. On my old Sony camera it was difficult to avoid blowing the highlights in jpeg, but that seems to be much less of a problem with the Nikon, and after a pint with Allan I have several ideas on how to improve it further.

It is now clear that the BBC have completely lost the plot, after their coverage of the Olympic opening ceremony. Who is Trevor Nelson, and why are we interested in what his mum thinks?
