I've got a job! Well, some holiday cover at the village shop, but a job all the same. And an evening that could have been quite melancholy (being as how it was EIFF opening night and I wasn't there for the first time in more than 20 years) turned out to be filled with hilarity and some great, new-to-me stories, as a load of extended family members, some of whom I hadn't seen for years, gathered to welcome home a second cousin from New Zealand. My cousin June nearly had to stop the car on the way home because she was laughing so much. :-)
