Chartres, France

This mediaeval building houses the Tourist Information Office in Chartres.

We arrived here after driving in torrential rain frpm Dieppe to be greeted by sunshine and warmth. This evening it has rained again and the temperature has dropped drastically. It is almost 23h and we have returned to our hotel to don winter woollies before departing to see Chartres en Lumieres when 26 monuments are colourfully illuminated.

Our hotel is next to the cathedral so we shall wait for the first illumination before setting off in the dark.
