I made an appointment for my eye test this afternoon. At lunchtime I got a panicked phone call from my Father after a woman had knocked at their door and strode in to the lounge and tried to get them to hand over £20 for some compost. When dad refused she said £10, and it was only after he started to phone me that she left. I called the police for them and she appears to have not taken anything but Dad was left feeling foolish and Mum frightened that she might return. Sadly it is obvious that they are elderly as they need hand rails by the door, hopefully the woman won't return. I encouraged Dad to press his pendant alarm if anything else happens.
Then to optician, glasses ordered; home to sweetcorn and quorn  and mushrooms.
