Plugging the leak

About four o'clock this morning I was awakened by CP and gestured to be quiet. A peculiar noise was coming from the direction of the road at the front of our house, we left our warm bed and went to investigate.
On the roads edge, workers were dragging barriers to an area opposite our house, CP then discovered that the water supply had been turned off, then it dawned on us what the problem was. So as there was nothing more we could do off back to bed we went.
At about seven o'clock Severn Trent turned up in force with traffic lights, and a small JCB digger, then they proceeded to dig. By lunch time all was fixed, this shot was taken and the supply was returned.
As I write this the barriers, lights an hole are still there, I hope they return tomorrow.
