A wet bee

I went to the allotment; it was extremely wet. Not actually raining, you understand, but the luxuriant grass and weed growth ensured that my trousers were soaked through almost up to knee height after a short time. I encountered several bumblebees of different species sitting on leaves looking wet and exhausted. This one may be Bombus terrestris, but I'm happy to be corrected.

Edinburgh should be enjoying a day length of more than 17 hrs at the moment, but it seems more like 17 hrs of twilight.
