I have been updating my portfolio in readiness to tackle some galleries. I thought it might be a good idea to show some up close and personal details of some of the surface textures from my abstract paintings. This sort of thing is not usually found in a portfolio which is another reason for including them. The detail of the surface is not easily determined from the average photo and can be hard to explain in words. Surprisingly the iPhone does quite a good job of this sort of shot.
