New, Tate Modern extension
We have been invited to a preview of the Tate Modern extension. We were lucky to get there before the queue got out of hand and were treated to what l would describe as concrete 'brutalist' although l know that once pictures are on the walls it will look fine and show things off to their best with no distractions. It is a huge space of concrete and untreated wooden floors.
Whilst there had a quick look at a small Louise Bourgeoise exhibition, had a few of her spiders, one with a spider and a large egg in a cage which l liked in a spooky kind of way. I blipped her famous piece in Bilbao, Spain, last September outside the Guggenheim there.
