Dolly and the Holy Isle

We are over on Arran for a wee overnight stay (we need to get back for Kiki's injection), and it's lovely! I've never been before, we drive round, stopping to look at the lovely scenery here and there! This shot is of the Holy Isle, Dolly is sitting on some lobster pots!

Thank you for all your kind comments about Tilly! I think it will take time to get over, we had her for so long and I really miss her! I keep questioning wether or not we made the right decision, and I honestly don't know if I'll ever believe it was, but Lewis is trying to help me come to terms with it! Although I had to make the same decision for Feathers it was easy as he was so obviously in distress, Tilly still had moments where she seemed fine, but birds are good at hiding it, the rest of the time she wasn't very well and was clearly struggling, she wasn't going to recover and would have just deteriorated! If I thought we could treat her I would have happily cancelled my holidays this week, it would have been worth it! Our vet said 'we can't turn back time' meaning we can't undo the suffering after its happened, so that's why we made the decision we did, to prevent her suffering more than she had to, I just wish we hadn't had to make it at all!

Sorry, to talk about it again, I'm still really upset about it, today was a nice distraction, but every time I think about her I cry!
