Desert Buddies

I've been driving slowly past this palm tree almost every day for the past nine years.  Never noticed anything odd until last week when I saw a prickly pear cactus growing out of its side.  Really!  It's actually growing high up out of the side of the tree.  It's a pretty good size, too.  That would have taken at least five years, maybe more, to grow.
