Hotel Bellevue
Do NOT click on the links if you're at all sensitive. Just ignore them.
It's not quite Belleville but it's very pretty. And it's no longer a hotel.
According to the info that I can find it was originally a built as a hotel called Grüner Wald (1899/1900 and before that a guest house by that name has stood on this land since the 16th Century). Sometime between 1900 and 1995 it changed its name to Bellevue. And since 1997 it's been used as office and flats.
There are tons of details in this and I really like this neo-Baroque style.
Other than that, things dominating our little world are Jogi Löw's* weird personal habits, Lukas Podolski's good humoured answer to the media about his manager's odd habit (you can find that on spiegel.de but you'll need German to undersrtand it). And the weather.
We've been in the middle of a long cycle of storms and high temperatures for ages now. And as I was coming home today, I was hoping to beat the weather. Two stops from home we had simultaneous thunder and lightning, so we're in the middle of the storm that started. And it rained like a thousand hoses. I had my big, double-skinned umbrella but it was utterly useless. It was somehow refreshing though
to walk through it.
