Ethiopian Night

This was a first for me. Ethiopian food.

And what fantastic food it was.

A very nice guy at HQ in California took us out for a wee chat over some food. And he suggested this Ethiopian cuisine.

Never had it before but he has a very good palate and I have never been dissapointed before by his suggestions.

So we ended up here and if you've never tried it but get the chance, jump at it!

Round tables laid over with a circular bread covering the entire surface. Not your normal bread but Injera as it is called seems to be halfway between an unleavened bread and a pancake.

Rolls of Injera are provided and spicy meat and vegetarian spicy stews (think a bit like Indian food-ish. And that is stretching things a bit) called 'Wat' are spooned onto the Injera layed over the table. The bread is used to scoop up the food with your hands. Delicious. The base layer bread on the table forms your table cloth. That, once your other bread is finished, you eat.

The food was delicious.

If they had a place like this back home in Edinburgh it would do a storm.
