Busy bees
There was a continual sound of buzzing coming from the cotoneaster and ceonothus shrubs with four different types of bees flying in to sample the nectar. I think these are the red tailed bumble bee (bombus lapidaries), the buff tailed bumble bee (bombus terrestris) and the one approaching the ceanothus with its pollen bags full is a common bumble bee (bombus hortorum)
