Ready to go!

Day 1 of cycling, firstly up to the island of Mainau, where we stopped to explore the gardens, admire the butterflies in the butterfly house, play in the playground and enjoy the views of the lake. Then it was back on the bikes for a 14k cycle to catch the ferry across the lake to Uberlingen, where we stopped to explore and enjoy some tasty pastries.

Continuing by bike, our final destination for the day was the mediaeval town of Meersburg.
