... but I prefer reading". So the saying goes. And Top Gun does like a good book.

I'm not sure life's the thing at the moment. To be honest I think I am so appalled at the way of the world that I just want to turn my back on it. Apparently huge numbers of people are seeking counselling in America because of the Trump phenomenon.And yesterday's Orlando shooting has been followed up by an obnoxious homophobic celebration of the killings. As for the Brexit debate ... God the Leave lobby make me sick.

By contrast I had a really lovely meeting with colleagues this morning that celebrated diversity and sought to create something positive in the workplace. And a real sense of collaboration in a meeting I co-ordinated in t the afternoon.

To quote a colleague from this morning: I need to get my mojo back ... No matter how good the book, life really is the thing.
